Marine Plastic pollution

A GREEN turtle crammed with plastic bags and balloons has become the global figurehead in the fight against ocean pollution..Turtles enjoy eating jellyfish and if you see a plastic bag floating in the water, it looks a lot like a jellyfish..

Plastic is such a huge threat to turtles in the wild. The WWF says studies estimate that more than 50 per cent of turtles globally have eaten plastic debris or other rubbish, with non-biodegradable waste becoming trapped in the marine reptiles’ digestive systems and causing slow deaths.

Pollution Control Congress 2018 mainly focusing on the Marine plastic pollution to reduce the marine deaths..
